How it works

Weddings:

Get in Touch

Once you have been in touch, I will suggest that we meet up for coffee & cake so that I can find out all about your wedding. I love to know everything, so please don’t spare any details! I spend a good chunk of my time on wedding blogs getting inspiration. It’s fair to say that I have already planned my own for the future, so I can’t wait to find out about your big day!

I will also strongly recommend that we do an Engagement shoot, to get you both comfortable in front of the camera. It is also another great opportunity to get to know each other better.

The Engagement Shoot

I love to make the engagement shoot as personal as possible. So lets head to one of your favourite locations, even if its where you walk your dog every morning. This will be the perfect spot to make some more memories.

Wedding Location

Before the big day I am really keen to check out your wedding venue, so that I can get some ideas of locations for photographs.

The Big Day

I will arrive slightly earlier than the time agreed, and check how you are feeling. Then I will begin discretely photographing all the little bits and pieces, before getting some photos of the Bride with her Bridesmaids and heading off to the venue to meet the Groom and Groomsmen.

During the ceremony I blend into the background snapping shots of the precious moments to follow. I don’t use flash during ceremonies so as to not to disturb anything.

After the ceremony, I will capture the first few moments of celebration, before heading off with the two of you to capture some more intimate shots. Or we can focus on getting the group photos.

I normally allow 20-30 minutes to capture the more creative photographs, its a really nice time to reflect together and create some beautiful images.

After this I will then discretely photograph some natural shots of all you guests. I love capturing those little moments of pure joy.

Following this I will then sneak off to have a snack whilst you sit down with your guests for dinner. At this time I will most probably be going through all the photos so far.. I know I won’t be able to resist!

I will then stay with you until the first dance and for a few moments after to capture some of the best dance moves.

After the Big Event

Within the week after your wedding, I will send over some snippets from the big day. I will also post them on my Facebook page for you to tag yourselves in if you wish.

Once the editing of the photographs has commenced I will provide an estimate of when the completed images will be available, this will depend however on the amount work I have at the time. As a rough guide I would say 6-8 weeks. After this I will get in touch to give you the final CD.

Then we can then start to go through any ideas you have for your wedding album, and start picking out your favourite photos to place in it.

The Album

If you decide to have an album, I will then get to work creating your custom Photo Book, again I would estimate about a month to do this. Once it is complete I will deliver it to you, for you to cherish forever.

Farewell

After spending so much time getting to know each other, this does become really difficult. But don’t forget that I am always here to capture the next stages of your life on my camera!

Fees start from £1,000. If you would like me to be a part of your special day, click the contact me tab! Can’t wait to hear from you. 🙂

Get in Touch

With all my projects, once you have been in touch I will suggest that we meet up and go through ideas together. I love to make each photo shoot as individual as I can. I need to learn about your personality and style, so this can really shine through in the final photographs.

The Shoot

I normally allow around 2 hours for these types of photography sessions. However with Newborns & Babies, I am more flexible as I understand you never know how they are going to feel on the day.

Particularly with Newborn shoots, I never book another session that day. To allow time for feeding and emotional meltdowns.

After the Shoot

After the shoot you can expect some teaser photographs on my Facebook page, normally within the week after the shoot. You are free to tag yourselves in these images.

Once I have selected the best images and carefully edited them. I will provide them to you in high res format on a CD for you to print as many times as you wish.

I normally estimate around 4 weeks to complete the photographs, but it does depend on the amount of work I have at the time. Christmas & Summer periods tend to be quite a bit busier.
